Lucca and Pisa

Geting sick is all part of the experience of travelling, well, just living really I guess. This time I think getting sick came at the cost of Karma. I have a confession to make: In Pisa we booked 2 hostel beds for 3 people, I'm pretty sure this was all they had available. Two of us cheated the system and shared a bed, and as a result, I am covered in bed bugs with a cold. I think it was worth that 10 euro though.

It was the second time I had been to Pisa, so having already taken my picture pushing the tower, I didn't know what else to do. Above is a photo of Sam pushing the wall. It is quite a famous painting by Keith Haring.

We dined at the most ebjoyable Italian restaurant I have visited yet. Unfortunately I can't remember the name or the location through the twisted streets of Pisa. You will have to discover it by chance. At least it's appeal will not be ruined by hoards of tourists now.

Lucca - very beautiful city, but slightly lifeless. We fell asleep on a lovely green hill top and woke up only to find all our bags had been taken - just kidding, there is no crime in Lucca, in fact it reminded me of the town in the Stepford Wives, it was all too perfect.

  1. I haven't come across any bed begs yet, nor have I been sick, and I've been traveling for more than a month. 10 euro for a hostel is cheap! Things here in Dublin are quite expensive.
p.s. I think you need to rotate that photo.

  2. Having trouble I am technologically challenged, you'll have to flip your iPhone on it's side. But actually, he is supporting the wall with his own strength.
